NAXCO GROUP HAS NEW OWNERS AS FROM DECEMBER 2018

The NAXCO Group has been taken over December 2018 by means of an LBO, by Patrick Bryon, former CFO and Managing Director of the Group between 1998 and 2011, supported by senior executives Philip Van Tilburg, CEO of De Keyser Thornton in Antwerp, Leo Poot, CEO of Slavenburg & Huyser in Rotterdam and Karim Sikias, CEO of Agena Tramp & Port Services, as well as by Darren Wright, its partner in the UK.

This takeover by executives of the company will ensure a smooth transition and stand for a true continuity towards its customers, its suppliers and all other partners, as well as it will preserve its financial independence. These criteria were of paramount importance to the transferors who previously managed the Group.

European leader in liner activities, the Group is also active in the fields of port services and maritime & air transport. It also offers NVOCC transports with its own UOL Bill of Lading.

The Naxco Group is with its 340 staff, active through its subsidiaries in Europe: France, Belgium, The Netherlands, UK;  in North Africa: Algeria, Morocco, Egypt as well as in other parts of Africa and in Thailand, achieves a turnover of approx. 190 M€.

With the support of participating banks, the Group aims at accelerating the development in the existing operational fields by combining organic with external growth.

However, what is most important is that the Group will remain faithful to its values which made it so successful during more than 50 years and that it keeps on stressing the importance of a true team spirit and a good working atmosphere which higly contribute to operational excellence and a high standard of services to the customers.
